Beach and Sea Fishing
Fishing around the Llŷn Peninsula
There are many opportunities to fish around the Llŷn Peninsula, with 20 beaches and rivers in the area. Why not book local sea fishing with www.bardseyboattrips.com – details also from local Aberdaron stores ….or just find yourself a rock.
Porth Ysgo (just across the fields from the cottage) for bass, dabs, turbot and whiting.
Aberdaron beach for bass, ray, whiting, codling and turbot.
Abersoch Beach for bass, flounder and ray. One day we fished offshore and filled buckets with bream, for an evening barbeque.
The Warren Beach near to Abersoch is good for sole and turbot.
Porth Neigwl/Hell’s Mouth for bass, flat fish and ray.
Porth Oer/Whistling Sands for whiting, codling and conger.
Porth Iago for huss, squid, wrasse and pollock.
And many others….catch what you can, depending on the season.
