Pubs and Restaurants
Aberdaron village has two well-established pubs (see below) with restaurant and bar-food options. Both serve real ale, and high quality produce, including fresh seafood and meat sourced from local farms.
Ty Newydd Hotel: Sits directly on Aberdaron seashore, with a spectacular terrace suspended over the beach – the view is free! Early evening drinks here watching the setting sun are a must!
The Ship Hotel: Just across the road from Ty Newydd in Aberdaron village centre, with a long, lively bar, separate restaurant, and outdoor tables to sit and watch village life go by.
Ty Coch Inn: This much-photographed red pub, set right on the sandy beach in the beautiful little village of Porthdinllaen, was voted the third best beach bar in the world in a survey! It can be reached by walking along the beach from Morfa Nefyn, or along the public footpath over the stunning Nefyn golf course. It is a perfect base for a day on the beach, with cold drinks and good food only a pebble’s throw away! Very busy in high season, but plenty of seating and a view to die for!
The Sun Inn (Llanengan, near Abersoch): This pub is popular with locals and visitors alike, and is well worth popping into for the local real ale and good food.
Abersoch has a number of lively pubs and choice of restaurants (see TripAdvisor for latest recommendations, as these do change quite regularly).
If you favour fine dining, just a little further afield try Twnti Seafood Restaurant or Porth Tocyn Hotel, both near to Abersoch, and for something really special book a table at the award-winning Plas Bodegroes, near to Pwllheli.
